CTC Communication Corp. Announces Chief Technology Officer.

WALTHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 2, 1998--CTC Communications Corp. (NASDAQ:CPTL) today announced the appointment of Frederic Kunzi to the position of Vice President and Chief Technology Officer.

Mr. Kunzi is a senior executive with over 25 years experience in information technology, telecommunications and business management. Mr. Kunzi joins CTC from Digital Equipment Corporation, where as Senior Manager of Global Network Services, he was responsible for Digital's worldwide enterprise network infrastructure serving over sixty thousand Domestic and International clients. Mr. Kunzi holds an Electrical Engineering degree from the Engineering School of the State of Vaud in Switzerland and an MBA from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.

As Chief Technology Officer for CTC, Mr. Kunzi will direct the planning, design, implementation and operation of CTC's Integrated Communications Network including the Network Operation Center, systems/supplier integration and emerging information systems platform. CTC's Integrated Communications Network is a state of the art, high speed data network which will be deployed throughout the northeast states in early 1999 and is scheduled for commercial service in the summer of 1999.
