The implementation of 120 inbound ports and 30 outbound ports was installed to improve customer service and increase customer satisfaction.

IVR applications implemented on the system are the TeleContas or TeleBill and Informacao do Novo Numero or Changed Phone Number. The TeleBill application enables customers to obtain information about their phone bills, such as unpaid bills. When a phone number has been changed, the Changed Phone Number application informs a caller of a new phone number when the old number is dialed. "The system had to be robust, have an established track record of reliability and possess the capacity to be upgraded in real time," said Call Center Manager Rodrigo Borges de Almeida. A vital component in CTBC's decision to choose Periphonics was the high capacity hardware architecture, scalability and user-friendly development environment. Says Almeida, "The quality and robustness of an integrated solution offered by CL Consultoria-Elmactron and Periphonics, was the answer."

From the inception of the Periphonics IVR system and the TeleContas and Informacao do Novo Numero applications, CTBC has greatly improved operational efficiency with an increased number of customer service calls and a higher level of customer satisfaction. Having CTBC staff trained using Periphonics GUI development tools, they are currently developing additional applications to further enhance operational efficiency. About Periphonics
