CSUN gets $2 million to start entrepreneurial program.This regular feature focuses on philanthropic activities by Valley-area companies and businesspeople. California State University, Northridge CSUN offers a variety of programs leading to bachelor's degrees in 61 fields and master's degrees in 42 fields. The university has over 150,000 alumni. It's also home to a summer musical theater/theater program known as TADW (TeenAge Drama Workshop) that leads teenagers through an , received a $2 million gift from Calabasas-resident Ernie Schaeffer for its Entrepreneur Program. Schaeffer's gift will go toward the Center on Innovation and Entrepreneurship in his name at the College of Engineering and Computer Science. The center will connect students to real-world inventors and entrepreneurs. Schaeffer, who used to run Schaeffer Magnetics in Chatsworth has had a long standing relationship with the university. At age 81, Schaeffer continues to lead a group of volunteers discussing how to integrate entrepreneurial themes into academic teaching.
