But Read and Benjamin, the final players with tournament ties, will play their last basketball game today at the Northridge Gym. They'll be honored hon·or n. 1. Benjamin's fondest memory, however, happened on campus. ``It's not all that big, but it's a great atmosphere,'' Benjamin said. ``When we won the Big Sky, coach (Bobby Braswell Bobby Braswell, an American basketball coach, is currently the head coach for Cal State Northridge. Braswell was named the fourth head coach in Northridge history on April 30, 1996, succeeding the retired Pete Cassidy. ) ran out there and all the fans stormed the court. It doesn't seem that long ago. And we're constantly reminded by the banners that hang in the rafters.'' They also are constantly reminded how tough it is to get back there. Last year, CSUN finished third in the Big West Conference after losing four of five starters and lost in the first round of the Big West tournament. CSUN started this season 0-4 in conference but now is tied for seventh and just clinched a spot in the postseason tournament. Read posted career highs with 10 points and six rebounds in CSUN's overtime victory over UC Riverside on Thursday. Benjamin had 10 points and 13 rebounds. ``Five years has gone by really fast,'' Read said. ``I can't believe it's almost over. I definitely wanted to play well my last couple of games.''
