CSUN TO FACE SAN DIEGO ST.Byline: - Jill Painter The Cal State Northridge men's basketball team will play San Diego San Diego (săn dēā`gō), city (1990 pop. 1,110,549), seat of San Diego co., S Calif., on San Diego Bay; inc. 1850. San Diego includes the unincorporated communities of La Jolla and Spring Valley. Coronado is across the bay. Officials have agreed on terms, but a contract has not been signed. It is expected to be sent to CSUN CSUN California State University Northridge officials soon. The Aztecs finished 14-14 last season under Steve Fisher - the former Michigan coach - and have an impressive recruiting class. CSUN made its NCAA Tournament debut last season and finished 22-11. The Matadors lose six seniors from that team. Cox Arena is San Diego State's new 12,414-seat facility. |
