CSUN RECEIVES MIXED GRADES.Byline: Sharline Chiang Daily News Staff Writer Nearly two-thirds of CSUN CSUN California State University Northridge students study less than 10 hours a week and classroom boredom afflicts nearly everyone but 87 percent are satisfied with their college experience and 65 percent said they would choose the campus again. These seemingly contradictory attitudes of California State University, Northridge CSUN offers a variety of programs leading to bachelor's degrees in 61 fields and master's degrees in 42 fields. The university has over 150,000 alumni. Cynthia Rawitch, department chairwoman of journalism and accreditation coordinator, said most encouraging is the overall level of satisfaction. ``What we seem to do best is teach in the classroom, it's what we seem to get very high marks on,'' she said. ``Students like the size of classes, the availability of faculty.'' Rawitch said areas of concern include graduation rates.
