Marcus Brady Marcus Brady (Born September 24, 1979) is a quarterback for the Montreal Alouettes of the CFL. College career
He attended Cal State Northridge as a business major, where he started 43 straight games.
didn't have a typical offseason. The Cal State Northridge quarterback lifted weights and participated in drills with the likes of Cris Carter Cristopher D. Carter (born November 25, 1965 in Troy, Ohio) is a former American football player in the NFL. He played wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles (1987-89), the Minnesota Vikings (1990-2001) and the Miami Dolphins (2002). , Randy Moss Randy Moss (born February 13, 1977 in Rand, West Virginia) is an American football wide receiver for the New England Patriots. He was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in 1998, and played the first stage of his career in Minnesota before a trade in 2005 brought him to the Oakland  and Dante Culpepper.

Brady participated in Carter's two-week program with some of college and pro football's elite in Florida.

``It was fun,'' Brady said. ``It was the same thing. It was me out there training and working hard to get better. I got to see the level they're at and I feel I was right there with them at that level. I've got a lot of confidence in myself.''

On Monday, Brady was throwing passes to Drew Amerson, Gil Rodriguez and a host of newcomers at the first practice for veteran Matadors. Brady is expected to embrace the leadership role for CSUN CSUN California State University Northridge , which finished 6-5 last year.

``It's just fun to get back on the field,'' Brady said. ``In the summer, when you first go it's exciting, but the summer is so long. I was antsy ant·sy

That means Jermaine Guinyard - a freshman from San Diego Marion Catholic High - could be called upon, as well as walk-on Brandon Martinovic. Kearin plans to redshirt Guinyard this season.

``(Guinyard) has a long way to go on the learning curve, but athletic-wise he's up to the challenge,'' Kearin said. ``He's got a lot to learn, but he's an intelligent player and an intelligent student.''

And Kearin has been impressed with Martinovic, a redshirt freshman from El Cajon Christian.

``I'm pleasantly surprised at the level he's playing at now,'' Kearin said. ``Mechanically, he's at a different level than where he was in the spring. I'm excited and happy about that.''

CSUN will practice in full pads starting Thursday.
