CSUN NOTEBOOK: BUBB TO RECEIVE 11 MONTHS PAY.

According to the breakdown, Bubb receives three months pay for standard services provided to the university during his three-year tenure as athletic director - one month for each year.

Bubb receives 5-1/2 months pay for his time spent at the school before he became athletic director, Chandler said. Once again, it's one month for each year of employment.

And Bubb received 2-1/2 months pay from accrued vacation time, Chandler said. Chandler added Bubb's agreement includes a paid trip to the NCAA NCAA

Bubb, 41, resigned Nov. 3 in the wake of the scandal involving then women's basketball coach Michael Abraham. Abraham was arrested Oct. 27 and charged by the FBI with trafficking in crack cocaine. Abraham was placed on paid administrative leave but resigned his post Nov. 6

Bubb resigned under pressure from CSUN president Blenda Wilson. Bubb was in Springfield, Mo., Saturday for CSUN's football game against Southwest Missouri State and is expected to travel to Idaho State next week. University officials said school funds were not being used to make the trips.

Postseason blues? But CSUN athletic officials and MPSF MPSF Mountain Pacific Sports Federation  officials said the Matadors probably would make the NCAAs if the team were affiliated with the MPSF this season.
