CSR and Fujitsu Agree to Partnership -- Cooperation Enables Reliable Supply with Cooperative Memory Solution.

CSR (Cambridge Silicon Radio), the world's leading Bluetooth(TM) chip company and Fujitsu, a world leader in Flash memory products, today announced an agreement to work together on supplying Flash memory for Bluetooth requirements.

As part of the agreement, Fujitsu has created 3.0V, 4 Megabit (Mb) and 8Mb, Flash memory optimized for CSR, available in FBGA, CSP and TSOP packaging. Fujitsu will also create 1.8V 4Mb and 8Mb Flash Memory for CSR. The devices, which are available now, will be sold through CSR channels bundled with CSR BlueCore(TM) solutions, easing the ordering process for CSR customers. The device will also be sold by Fujitsu.

CSR distributors will offer 3V, 4Mb, 90ns Flash memory at a highly competitive price, whatever the quantity, when bundled with CSR's BlueCore products. Fixed pricing on the Flash memory is being offered for the next 12 months, with a guaranteed supply from Fujitsu. The chipset offers a very cost effective solution, and CSR provides an easy single point of purchase through CSR distributors.

With the BlueCore2-Ext we offer the most competitive solution on the market today."

The two companies are working closely together on further product developments to be announced later this year.
