The company's partners, Mike and Danny Szarowicz, will remain active in the business. Mike will be responsible for overall company operations while Danny will manage sales for the Oldsmar and Hudson offices. David Bonnell and Tom Prendergast, partners in Zarco's Lakeland, Pensacola and Panama City offices, also will continue their management responsibilities with the company. Rinker also acquired Kennedy Concrete Inc., a niche, specialty concrete company with plants in Orlando and Bushnell. While Rinker is the nation's largest supplier of concrete and concrete block, the company has not traditionally offered services to the smaller, C.O.D. market. According to Karl Watson Jr., general manager of Rinker's Materials Division-North, Kennedy Concrete will help the company create a strong presence in that market.
