Cambridge Silicon Radio, Inc., a CSR plc company, continues to expand its support operations, with the recent acquisition of further office space in Richardson, Texas. In April 2005, Cambridge Silicon Radio, Inc. (CSR) moved its Dallas office to 2425 N. Central Expressway and just over a year later, the company is doubling its office space again by taking over the top floor of the Richardson building. CSR's operation currently provides worldwide support for all Bluetooth and Wi-Fi PC products and since the beginning of the year has seen its personnel increase by more than 17%, bringing the total to 89 employees.

"In order to keep up with the growth of the market, CSR is pursuing an extensive world-wide recruitment programme. The Dallas expansion is scheduled to be completed in July and will enable CSR to provide further support to its growing list of customers," said James Blackwell, CSR Director, Dallas Operations.

The expansion comes one week after CSR announced that the company's Bluetooth technology has been selected by Freescale Semiconductor for its mobile phone platforms. CSR also recently released its first quarter 2006 financial results, which reported a revenue increase of 103% and operating profit Operating profit (or loss)

increase of 136%, both year-on-years. CSR continues to maintain a design win share in the Bluetooth market in excess of 60%, with the company achieving 121 design wins in Q1, further highlighting that CSR's BlueCore technology is the leading Bluetooth solution on the market.

Eric Janson, CSR Senior Vice President, commented, "CSR continues to lead the Bluetooth market, and the Richardson office is the base for our PC operations; a major part of the company's worldwide growth." Janson added, "As our customer base increases so must CSR's worldwide support team. The US market continues to increase in importance as the attach rate of Bluetooth in mobile phones rises and as the Wi-Fi market continues to grow. Therefore, we expect to increase our US personnel to more than 100 employees by the end of the year."

CSR continues to invest in people and the company's global headcount increased from 688 at the end of Q4 2005, to 719 at the end of Q1 2006.
