CSL announces second-quarter results.

VALENCIA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 17, 1995--CSL Manufacturing, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSLX) Thursday announced that net income for the second quarter ended June 30, 1995, was $59,000, an increase of 59% from $39,000 in the prior-year period.

Net income per share was $.01 in each period. Sales for the second quarter of 1995 were $4,033,000 compared with $4,261,000 in the prior year period.

For the six months ended June 30, 1995, net income increased 115% to $243,000, or $.06 per share, from $113,000, or $.03 per share, for the first six months of 1994. Sales were $7,958,000 compared with $8,321,000 in the prior year period.

Sylvan Gerber, chairman and chief executive officer, stated: "The company's results to date reflect the implementation of management's plan to re-focus its efforts on cost savings and the sale of higher margin product lines. This strategy has positioned the company for future growth and continued profitability."

Gerber also noted that the company has completed the reconstitution of its management team with the addition of several members, all of whom have significant success and experience in the lighting industry. CSL designs, manufactures and markets high-end lighting fixtures for both commercial and residential applications. -0-
