CSK Auto Corporation Requests Additional One-Month Extension from New York Stock Exchange.

 ("2005 Form 10-K") for its fiscal year ended January 29, 2006. As announced in November 2006, the Exchange had previously granted the Company a four-month extension until February 28, 2007 to file its 2005 Form 10-K with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Although the Company has made substantial progress in its restatement, CSK Auto is seeking the additional one-month extension in order to complete its restatement process. The Company will communicate the decision of the Exchange as soon as practicable.

As previously announced, CSK Auto is in the process of restating its financial statements for each of the two fiscal years 2003 and 2004, selected consolidated financial data for each of the four fiscal years 2001 through 2004 and interim financial information for each of its quarters in fiscal year 2005. These restatements are being made to reflect matters reviewed in the course of an Audit Committee-led investigation of accounting practices and the resulting adjustments to prior period financial statements.
