The company announced a pre-tax loss of $334,000 with net loss of $205,000 (or 5 cents per share Cents per share

Sales were $6.8 million for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 1997, compared with sales of $2.6 million for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 1996.

Donald C. Weymer, CSI's chairman and chief executive officer, attributed the loss to higher period costs related to supporting current maintenance contracts as well as costs related to certain inefficiencies that are expected to be eliminated by integrating the three companies acquired earlier this year into CSI's operations.

He indicated that he expected that, after doubling sales in 1997 over 1996, improvement on the margins on these sales can be attained at·tain
