CSG launches the Revinylize system.

Rochester Hills, MI-based Coatings Specialist Group (CSG), has launched the two-step Revinylize system designed to help DIYers revive their vinyl siding, shutters or furniture.

"Vinyl can begin to look chalky and faded after years of sun exposure and use," said Art McWood, president CSG. "The new, easy-to-use Revinylize system allows customers an affordable method to clean and restore their vinyl to its original color and luster.

According to the Vinyl Siding Institute, Vinyl siding was first introduced to the exterior cladding market in the early 1960s and steadily grew in popularity over the next four decades because of its durability, versatility and ease of maintenance. Today vinyl siding is the number one choice of exterior cladding across the country. U.S. Census Bureau statistics show twice as many homeowners side their homes with vinyl than with any other material.

Revinylize is a long lasting restoration that can be applied to siding, shutters, trims, window frames, doors, fences and outdoor vinyl furniture. It also includes UV protection and prevents the harmful growth of fungi, mold and mildew.

The first step in the Revinylize process is to clean the vinyl surface with a diluted solution of Vinyl Prep. Once clean and dry, the ready-to-use Revinylize finish treatment is applied with a brush, roller or airless sprayer.

Available at ACO Hardware stores in southeast Michigan and in The Andersons stores in Ohio, the Revinylize kit comes with one gallon of Vinyl Prep and one gallon of Revinylize that will cover up to 750 square feet.
