CSFB Scores Major Gain in Global Custodian magazine's 2005 Prime Brokerage Survey; Prime Services Group takes 20 `Best in Class' Awards.

 is pleased to announce that its Prime Services group made substantial gains in Global Custodian magazine's 2005 Prime Brokerage Prime Brokerage

A special group of services that many brokerages give to special clients. The services provided under prime brokering are securities lending, leveraged trade executions, and cash management, among other things.
 survey winning 20 "Best in Class" awards. This result is a dramatic increase from 12 awards in last year's survey and for the first time places CSFB among the top two prime brokers in the market in terms of number of Best in Class awards.

Hedge funds of all asset sizes cited CSFB strengths across the board, from exceptional client service to financing, reporting, capital introductions and access to management. Hedge funds also cited the "ability to access firm-wide strengths" as a major asset for CSFB.

This latest recognition for CSFB's Prime Services business comes on the heels of the annual Eurohedge prime brokerage survey results, released in January, in which CSFB moved to third place behind Goldman Sachs The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., or simply Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) is one of the world's largest global investment banks.
