Columbus State Community College (CSCC) has selected Skylight Financial, Inc., in conjunction with U.S. Bank to implement a direct deposit program for students receiving financial aid and work study funds.

As part of a comprehensive direct deposit effort by CSCC, students are receiving their financial aid into a Skylight account. The pre-approved Skylight account is a FDIC-insured, direct deposit account that provides students with a better alternative to expensive and inconvenient check cashing services.

"We are rolling out a program that provides CSCC students with a safe and convenient method to access their financial aid and work study funds" CSCC Director of Business Affairs, Dave Fitch said. "The Skylight account provides our students with an innovative financial service option to costly and inconvenient check cashing services."

CSCC students can access their accounts via the Skylight card, which can be used to withdraw cash at over a million ATM and point-of-sale locations.
