CSC wins $8 million task order to deploy interface system for FAA.

:CSC) has been awarded a task order to deploy a common data communications interface to 20 air traffic control facilities operating under the FAA's National Airspace System network.

The award is the largest task order awarded to CSC under the National Institutes of Health's Chief Information Officer Solutions and Partners (CIOSP CIOSP Chief Information Officer Solutions and Partners

) and could be valued at $8 million if all options are exercised during a five-year performance period.

The CIOSP contract was awarded last August as an indefinite- delivery/indefinite-quantity procurement vehicle available for use by any federal agency. The local-area network will be used by the 20 air traffic control facilities to more efficiently access information about aircraft operating in their geographic areas.
