The Systems Development and Maintenance (SDM SDM - Schematic Data Model ) contract has a base-year value of $14.5 million and could be valued at $287 million if all options are exercised during an eight-year contract period. Specific support will include system design and analysis, programming, testing, customer training, implementation, system/ software maintenance and engineering, business-process re-engineering, product assurance, project management and related services. The work will be performed on existing automated information systems and systems developed under the SDM contract. Services will be performed by CSC's Integrated Systems Division and involve about 150 computer specialists, communications and business-process engineers, information specialists and computer programmers in the Crystal City, Va., area. Teaming with CSC are two Virginia firms: ANSTEC of McLean and Signal Corp. of Fairfax, which will provide engineering services.
