:CSC) has been awarded a contract by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA 1. (body) DISA - Defense Information Systems Agency.

) to provide Defense Information Infrastructure integration services at various defense locations.

The indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract is valued at $285 million if all options are exercised during a five-year contract period. As the principal subcontractor, CSC's share on the contract could be valued at $72 million.

The team will support DISA with software, data integration and engineering services to achieve seamless global-systems interoperability that will allow U.S. warfighters to have information dominance on the battlefield. The work will be done for DISA's Joint Interoperability and Engineering Organization in Arlington, Va.

CSC will be responsible for developing application software and data in compliance with three operating standards of the Department of Defense: the Defense Information Infrastructure/Common Operating Environment, Standard Operating Environment (standard) Standard Operating Environment - (SOE) A specification of the architecture, operating systems, application set and configuration of computers within an organisation.  and the Shared Data Environment Automation services that support the implementation and maintenance of data resources that are used by two or more combat support applications. Services provided include: identification of common data, physical data modeling, database segmentation, development of data access and .

Services will be performed by CSC's Systems Engineering Division, with headquarters in Falls Church, and involve approximately 75 computer scientists, system and software engineers, and functional analysts. A total of 26 other subcontractors comprise the SAIC SAIC - http://saic.com.  team.
