(NYSE NYSE See: New York Stock Exchange :CSC) has received its first competitively issued task order under the U.S. Department of Transportation's (DOT) streamlined Information Technology Omnibus Procurement (ITOP ITOP Information Technology Omnibus Procurement ITOP Induced Termination of Pregnancy ITOP International Test Operations Procedure ITOP Intercontinental Transport of Pollution ITOP Integrated Test Operational Panel ) contract. The cost-plus-award-fee contract contains a base year value of $1.9 million and a total value of $8.1 million if all four one-year options are exercised. The task order requires CSC to provide help desk, desktop and network support to 600 users assigned to the Office of the Secretary of Transportation and the Transportation Administrative Service Center. CSC will be assisted by ANSTEC Inc. of Fairfax, Va., with help-desk support. Work will be performed by CSC's System Sciences Division, which has headquarters in Calverton, Md., and will involve approximately 25 system engineers, scientists, network specialists and other related skills. CSC was one of 20 firms selected by the DOT in May 1996 to provide streamlined information technology support under a $1.13 billion specific task-order contract.
