CSC WINS SHARE OF $14.5 BILLION U.S. NAVAL SEA SYSTEMS COMMAND CONTRACT.

The multiple award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract includes provisions for competitive, fixed price and cost plus fixed fee task orders. CSC estimates the value of the contract, which has an initial term of five years with two five-year options, to be $500 million over a 15-year period.
Under the scope of the contract, CSC will provide engineering, logistics, program management and financial management services to support NAVSEA through all phases of ship and weapon systems life cycles, including technology development, concept exploration, design, specification development, construction/production, test and evaluation, certification, operation, maintenance, improvement/modernization, overhaul and refueling, salvage and disposal.
"This newest award from NAVSEA is the latest in CSC's longstanding relationship with the U.S. Navy," said Thomas C. Robinson, president of CSC's Defense Group. "The support services we will provide will help NAVSEA develop efficient management systems while reducing overall costs."
Work will be performed by CSC's Defense Group and involve approximately 250 scientists, engineers, logisticians and analysts working in support of the contract in Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York New York, state, United States
