). The indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity contract, which has a two-year base period and three one-year options, has a contract ceiling amount of $613 million if all options are exercised. This contract is the result of a competed acquisition, and is a continuation of the previous DISN Network Management Support Services-Global Network Engineering Contract (DNMSS-G NEC (NEC Corporation, Tokyo, www.nec.com, www.necus.com) An electronics conglomerate known in the U.S. for its monitors. In Japan, it had the lion's share of the PC market until the late 1990s (see PC 98).

Under the terms of the new agreement, CSC will continue to provide design, engineering, operation and management of voice services for the Defense Switched Network (DSN), the secure voice services of the Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN DRSN Defense Red Switch Network ) and the network management systems for both the DSN and DRSN. ). CSC will also provide support for other related DISN networks and systems and their respective management systems.
