SEEC SEEC Sociedad Española de Estudios Clásicos (Spanish Society for Classical Studies)

SEEC Supported Employment Enterprise Corporation
SEEC Synthesis Engineering Education Coalition
, Inc. (Nasdaq:SEEC) announced that it is teaming with the CSC Defense Group in a project to mine the business rules from the Defense Joint Military Pay System (DJMS DJMS Defense Joint Military System
DJMS Denn John Middle School (Kissimmee, FL)
), a 25 year-old system which pays all active and reserve members of the Army, Navy and Air Force.

Under a task order awarded earlier this year, a team headed by CSC is using the SEEC tools and technology to mine the business rules and reverse engineer the system documentation for this large, complex mainframe system, which is used by more than 600 users.

"SEEC's technology allows us to mine and trace the business rules and to document the functional and system requirements To be used efficiently, all computer software needs certain hardware components or other software resources to be present on a computer system. These pre-requisites are known as (computer) system requirements and are often used as a guideline as opposed to an absolute rule.  of this critical system," said David Beck

"Like many large, complex mainframe systems, DJMS has grown and changed over the years, making it difficult for analysts to understand how the system works. SEEC's tools and methodologies will enable our team to extract from the legacy code the system intelligence that is needed to extend and enhance the system for the future. This is a key first step to enhance the maintenance of the current system as well as providing business requirements which could be used in the development of a new military pay system using modern technology."

Approximately 40 programmers, analysts and process specialists will be involved in this project, which will be performed by CSC's Joint Defense Integrated Services In computer networking, IntServ or integrated services is an architecture that specifies the elements to guarantee quality of service (QoS) on networks.
