CSC Licenses Legal Management Software to Two Insurers.


CSC's Legal Solutions Suite to Boost Cost Savings, Efficiency and Communication

 Insurance Group, a premier property and casualty insurer specializing in workers compensation, and MAG Mutual Insurance Company, the largest physician-owned medical professional liability insurer in the Southeastern U.S., will use components of CSC's Legal Solutions Suite to manage legal expenditures and improve processes and communication with outside legal counsel.

CSC's Legal Solutions Suite, formerly known as LitigationAdvisor, is Web based Coming from a Web server. See Web application.  and includes Legal e-Bill, Legal Bill Analyzer and Legal Matter Manager. It automates core legal management processes and provides integrated electronic invoicing to help insurers work more effectively with their law firms.

MAG Mutual will integrate the Legal Solutions Suite with CSC's POINT IN policy and claims management software, which the insurer has been using since 1996.

"We chose CSC's legal management software to enhance our loss adjustment expense cost controls and provide additional value to our defense attorneys by offering them productivity gains and advanced technology through electronic invoicing and systems access," said Alan Mercaldo, MAG Mutual Insurance Company vice president and chief information officer.
