CSC Announces PeopleSoft Implementation and Application Outsourcing Contract with Synovus Financial Corp.

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Aug. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Computer Sciences Corp. (NYSE: CSC) has announced a multiyear, multimillion-dollar agreement to implement, support and maintain the human resources (HR) applications of Synovus Financial Corp. (NYSE: SNV), a diversified financial services company with approximately 10,000 team members.

Over the course of this agreement, CSC will implement PeopleSoft's HR, benefits administration and payroll applications for Synovus Service Corp., and will provide ongoing applications support and facilities management.

The project exemplifies CSC's end-to-end approach in the enterprise solutions marketplace, providing a single, clearly defined solution that breaks out costs, deliverable target dates and market-driven upgrades over the life of the project, allowing for long-term planning and budgeting.

PeopleSoft application management and support is provided by CSC's Global PeopleSoft Practice in Athens, Ala. CSC will provide user support, problem correction/break-fix support, portfolio enhancements to the PeopleSoft software, and technical support.
