CSC AWARDED $107.5 MILLION CONTRACT TO SUPPORT THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE'S DIPLOMATIC TELECOMMUNICATIONS SERVICE.

Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) has won a task order from the Federal Systems Integration and Management Center (FEDSIM) to support the U.S. Department of State's Diplomatic Telecommunications Services Program Office (DTS-PO). The indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity task order is valued at $107.5 million if all options are exercised during its eight-year life.

The task order is the first of this size awarded by the General Services Administration (GSA) in support of the Department of State. Under the award, CSC and its team members will provide engineering, training, financial management, network management, help desk and logistics support to the DTS-PO.

The task order was awarded under the GSA Federal Technology Service's Millennia contract.

Approximately 100 engineers and computer, financial, training and logistics experts from CSC will perform the work in northern Virginia. Teaming with CSC are the local offices of Alphatech Corp. of Arlington, Va.; Arrowhead Space & Telecom, Inc. of Falls Church, Va.; American Systems Corporation (ASC) of Chantilly, Va.; AT&T Corporation of New York, N.Y.; Digicon Corporation of Rockville, Md.; Harris Corporation of Melbourne, Fla.; ITEQ, Inc. of Houston, Texas; Lynx Technologies, Inc. of Fairfield, N.J.; Mil Corporation of Bowie, Md.; and SBI Consulting of Reston, Va.

The Department of State's Diplomatic Telecommunications Service Program Office mission is to implement and manage a global network that is reliable, and cost-effective telecommunications services to the US Foreign Affairs Community.
