CS spray used in shop robbery.


A SHOP assistant was squirted with CS spray during a robbery robbery, in law, felonious taking of property from a person against his will by threatening or committing force or violence. The injury or threat may be directed against the person robbed, his property, or the person or property of his relative or of anyone in his .

Liverpool Crown Court yesterday heard Vivienne Joyce was robbed by John Arnold, 23, Kenny Fearon, 22, and John Manville, 22.

Graham Pickavance, prosecuting, said Mrs Joyce was working at the Spar shop in Eccleston, St Helens St Helens may refer to:

As she opened the till Arnold sprayed the CS in her face and snatched pounds 190 from it.

Manville had been standing by the door and Fearon was waiting in a car.

Arnold, of Elmdale Road, Walton' Fearon, of Essex Road, Huyton, and Manville, of no fixed address, all pleaded guilty to robbery.

Arnold and Fearon also robbed a man in the street and are serving 42-month prison sentences.

Judge Henry Globe QC, the Recorder of Liverpool sentenced Arnold and Fearon to indeterminate That which is uncertain or not particularly designated.
