CS STARS Releases Enhanced Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Features in Newest Version of STARS Enterprise[TM].

CHICAGO -- CS STARS LLC (Logical Link Control) See "LANs" under data link protocol.

LLC - Logical Link Control
, the industry's leading provider of Risk Management Technology, today announced the newest release of STARS Enterprise which includes features specifically focused on supporting clients' Enterprise Risk Management (ERM (Enterprise Relationship Management) An umbrella term with many shades of meaning over the years. It may refer to the management of information from any or all of an organization's customers, suppliers, business partners and employees. ) programs.

The new release of STARS Enterprise, available immediately, provides clients with tools for measuring and managing their financial, strategic and operational risk under a single, unified platform that supports data collection, storage and analysis. STARS Enterprise has integrated a comprehensive set of auditing tools with Risk Registers that support enterprise-wide risk categorization.

Risk Registers allow a client to define and categorize its most critical business risks; measure against company-specified metrics or thresholds; and manage follow-up mitigation efforts. Because Risk Registers are integrated within the STARS Enterprise framework, all of the associated tools for workflow, notification, reporting and communication are built-in and available to customers using the feature. Heat maps, ERM dashboards, and event-specific alerts are all integrated within Risk Registers.

In its recent ERM Study, CS STARS polled its client-base to gauge levels of activity and planning for adopting an ERM framework. The firm found that most of its clients were in the early stages of ERM program adoption. Because Risk Registers provide the foundation for a strong ERM program, CS STARS chose to expand its capabilities in this area to simplify ERM adoption for its clients.

"CS STARS is addressing the challenges of Enterprise Risk Management head on with this release," said Bill Diaz, president of CS STARS. "Our clients have been using CS STARS products to support ERM for a number of years, but this is STARS' first fully integrated ERM toolset designed specifically to simplify key ERM processes and help those just getting started with their programs."

In combination with its parent company Marsh, CS STARS is able to provide software as well as consulting support to clients adopting an enterprise risk management approach. Through Marsh Risk Consulting, clients have access to industry experts who can assist with the development and implementation of a fully integrated ERM framework and plan. "The STARS offering is an efficient and cost-effective way for our clients to address a range of ERM functionality needs," said Mathew Allen, practice leader for Marsh's Enterprise Risk Services and Solutions group. "When combined with our ERM consulting services, clients have the tools needed for establishing and executing on an ERM program that supports better business decisions across-the-board."
