CS/HB 397--Caregivers for adults.This bill allows the Department of Elderly Affairs (DOEA DOEA Department of Elder Affairs (Florida State Government) ) to establish a pilot program to train persons to act as companions and provide personal assistance to frail frail 1 adj. frail·er, frail·est 1. Physically weak; delicate: an invalid's frail body. 2. adults age 60 or older. The pilot program will start in either Pasco Pasco (păs`kō), city (1990 pop. 20,337), seat of Franklin co., SE Wash., on the Columbia River near its confluence with the Snake and Yakima rivers. It is a trade and shipping center for the Columbia basin project. or Pinellas county or both and must end in three years or less. The bill also requires DOEA to present a status report on the pilot program to the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives by January January: see month. 1, 2010.
