CRYPTOCard (www.cryptocard.com), the leading Mac authentication technology developer, today announced that in response to the outstanding feedback its newly-launched CRYPTO-Server for Mac OS X Tiger and Panther two-factor authentication solution has received from Mac experts and resellers worldwide, it is increasing its presence in the U.K. by partnering with leading Mac distributor, A M Micro.

The success of CRYPTO-Server's launch was underscored by consultant, Mac aficionado, and CEO of ITInstuction.com, Schoun Regan, who offered the following advice to Apple Consultants Network's members attending his morning seminar at Macworld, "...if you see nothing else here at Macworld, you must drop by the CRYPTOCard booth and see the product for yourselves!"

About Token Based, Two-Factor Authentication

CRYPTOCard's authentication solution requires two levels of 'proof' of identity: 1) Something a user has - a CRYPTOCard token that generates a one-time password. 2) Something a user knows - a secret PIN. The benefits include: A lost token is useless without the PIN; a stolen or shoulder surfed PIN is useless without the token. A lost token is readily noticed and can be easily revoked; each generated password is used only once and will never work again - tokens stay in synch with the CRYPTO-Server to manage this process - the result - passwords cannot be stolen, shared, written down or stuck to the side of a monitor.
