CRYPTOCard Appoints David Scott as V.P. of North American Sales to Oversee Fast-Expanding Channel Program.

CRYPTOCard Commits 100 Per Cent to Channel Program to Meet Rapidly-Increasing Worldwide Demand for its Cost-Effective Authentication Technology

OTTAWA -- CRYPTOCard (www.cryptocard.com), the leading authentication technology developer for heterogeneous environments, today announced that in response to the rapid increase in demand for its two-factor authentication technology in the United States and Canada, it has appointed David Scott as Vice President of North American Sales. Scott will oversee all North American sales, with a particular focus on the continued development of CRYPTOCard's fast-expanding channel network. The arrival of Scott underscores CRYPTOCard's commitment to its channel partners, which are expected to account for 99 per cent of all sales worldwide.

With more than 20 years IT sales management experience, Scott was previously Senior V.P. of Sales for Lucid Security, a leader in intrusion prevention systems, where he was instrumental in increasing revenues from $0 to $5 million in less than two years. Prior to working at Lucid, Scott spent eight years as V.P. of enterprise sales for Visual Networks, a provider of WAN performance management solutions. Scott's tenure at Visual Networks included a successful IPO in 1998.

Since joining CRYPTOCard, Scott has immediately strengthened the company's fast-expanding channel program by signing a partnership agreement with Ottawa-based Interwork Technologies, one of the world's leading value-added distributors of business IP security and communications solutions. The new agreement permits Interwork to distribute CRYPTOCard's CRYPTO-Shield two-factor authentication solution throughout North America, and reemphasizes CRYPTOCard's total commitment to the channel.
