More than 100 model and classic cars will be showcased between 6 and 9 p.m. during the AutoSpa's Cruise Night at 23500 Valencia Blvd., which will help raise funds to support local athletes who are mentally challenged. ``We are very appreciative of the AutoSpa's support for the organization,'' said Maureen Spindt, director of the Santa Clarita Special Olympics. ``We rely on generosity and the charitable support of the community to offer a wide array of programs to our athletes.'' This year, the money raised will help the organization fund its first Spirit Games, which is expected bring more than 700 athletes on May 18 to Santa Clarita. They will compete in swimming, track and field, bocce and basketball - an event that will cost the group $15,000. The owners of the vehicles will pay a $10 entry fee to showcase their classics, which will help offset that cost. Owners also will have a chance to win a trophy plaque for the People's Choice, Best of Show, Best Stock Car, Best Engine and Best Paint Restoration selections.
