CRS SIRRINE ENGINEERS TO DESIGN MCDONNELL DOUGLAS FACILITY HOUSTON, Dec. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- CRSS Inc. (NYSE: CRX), announced that its Greenville, S.C. based subsidiary, CRS Sirrine Engineers, Inc., has been contracted to design a metal processing and paint facility for McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Company in Mesa, Ariz. CRS Sirrine Engineers' Phoenix office will provide architecture and engineering design, including process optimization and construction assistance services. Its Portland, Ore. office will provide support. The $9.5 million, 47,000-square-foot facility will house such operations as metal anodizing and plating, heat treating and painting of helicopter components, including those for the AH-64 "Apache" helicopter used recently in the Persian Gulf. Initial design is currently under way and construction will begin in 1992. Start-up for the facility is scheduled for January 1993. CRSS Inc., through its subsidiaries, is a diversified design and construction services company. CRSS is also involved in the independent power and cogeneration industry and has expanded, through its interest in NaTec Resources, Inc.
