PETER CROUCH scored on his second coming for Tottenham to drop a timely reminder to Fabio Capello Fabio Capello (born June 18, 1946 in San Canzian d'Isonzo, Gorizia) is an Italian football manager and former professional player who most recently coached Real Madrid. .

Axed from Capello's last two squads, the striker showed the England boss what he can do as he got off the mark in his first start since returning to White Hart Lane

.

The pounds 10million buy from Portsmouth helped make it four wins out of four for Harry Redknapp's Premier League leaders, with 14 goals scored.

Tom Huddlestone Thomas Huddlestone (born December 28, 1986 in Nottingham) is a professional English football player for Tottenham Hotspur. He can play either in defence or midfield, with the latter being the position considered his best. , Jamie O'Hara, David Bentley and Roman Pavlyuchenko were also on target for a Spurs shadow squad on a night when Doncaster's defensive frailties cost them dear.

Redknapp, who made seven changes to his line-up, said: "I'm lucky I can bring in two strikers like Pavlyuchenko and Crouch and I've Bentley as well. That's what you're looking for in a squad."

Spurs had Carlo Cudicini to thank early on, the Italian making great saves from James Hayter and John Oster.

Sean O'Driscoll's Championship side then gift-wrapped Spurs the lead on nine minutes when Adam Lockwood played a suicidal pass across his own box and Huddlestone pounced.

Doncaster blundered at the back again two minutes later when Bentley was left unmarked on the right. He picked out Crouch, who laid the ball off for O'Hara to fire in from the edge of the area.

Rovers kept plugging away, only for Spurs to show their class again on 37 minutes when Crouch headed home from a corner. Bentley made it 4-0 after the break with his first goal in 10 months.

Doncaster got the goal their football deserved just past the hour when Kevin Prince-Boateng handled and Martin Woods converted the penalty.

Lewis Guy and Byron Webster both hit the woodwork for Rovers before Pavlyuchenko sealed victory.

Redknapp knows Pavlyuchenko is a target for Spartak Moscow, but insisted: "He is going nowhere."

O'Driscoll, who played under Redknapp at Bournemouth in the mid-1980s, said: "We created our own problems really. We made mistakes and got punished."
