The Highlanders hold two of the top sixteam times in course history, including last year's clocking of 78 minutes, 10seconds.

Whether Royal can match the course record set by Mead of Spokane, Wash., in 1993 depends largely on the health of No. 3 runner Danny Benson, who has sat out the past month with a hip injury. Benson, who coach Ryan Luce said is expected back today, would make Royal's starting five a near lock to win the team title.
