The Golden League cross country team champion could be decided today at the second of two regular-season league meets at Pelona Vista.

 are in first place after beating each of the other teams at the first league meet. All teams run simultaneously, but the meet is scored as a series of head-to- head dual meets between each school.

The title is awarded to the team with the best overall record after the two meets. If there is a tie, it will be broken at league finals. CIF formats are defined by their resolution, and standards both above and below the original resolution have been established. Highland's girls' team finished 12th in the championship race on the 3.1-mile Woodward Park Woodward Park (34 acres) is a public park, botanical garden, and arboretum located between 21st Street and 24th Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA. It is open to the public daily.  course, annual site of the state cross country championships.

Caitlin Fitzgerald, who won the first Golden League meet, finished 19th in 19 minutes, 4 seconds to lead Highland's girls. Jill Cleveland, who missed last season because of injury, finished 49th in 20:09.

Highland's boys' team finished 14th. Kurtis Rohrenback (16:06) finished 22nd and Josh Housinger finished 23rd, one second behind Rohrenback.

Brienna Morris, Quartz Hill's only runner in the girls' championship race, finished eighth in 18:21.

--Movin' up: Paraclete cross country teams have been very successful against Div. IV competition this season. On Saturday, the Spirits showed they can compete with schools of any size.

Both Paraclete teams finished fourth in the Div. I races at the Kenny Staub/John Barnes Invitational at La Crescenta Park.

Among the teams Paraclete beat was El Camino Real El Camino Real (Spanish for The Royal Road or The King's Highway) was the name of a series of pre-automobile highways linking the various New World colonies of Spain:

Kaitlin Huerta led Paraclete with a fifth-place finish, covering the 3-mile course in 19:21. Allie Velazquez (19:41) was eighth.
