On Saturday, Trabuco Hills placed ninth with 203 points as the No.3 California team behind Royal and fourth-place Carmichael Jesuit, the state Div.II champion.

``Today, we really had nothing to lose,'' Cybulski said. ``I think it's more important to win a state title than a national title. We weren't aiming for Trabuco Hills but more than anything to come out on top.''
