The Knight High boys' cross country team will make the school's first postseason appearance Saturday morning at 8:28, running in the Southern Section Div. II prelims at Mt. San Antonio College Mt. SAC; pronounced as the word "sack") is a community college located in the Los Angeles suburb of Walnut, California, next to California State Polytechnic University, Pomona which is just over a hill.

Ninety-two minutes later, the Hawks' girls' team will make the school's second postseason appearance, running in its heat of the Div. II prelims.

Huerta surged near the league final's halfway point, winning with a time of 19 minutes, 24 seconds on the 3-mile course. She beat second-place Velasquez by 13 seconds.

``I'd been struggling a bit mentally, as far as realizing where I should be and that I have the potential to do the things I want,'' Huerta said. ``I've done a lot of mental training, as far as telling myself that I belong where I am ... and that I was set as the leader of this team, so I wanted to get back to that spot.''

She is the second straight Paraclete runner to win the Alpha League title. Heidi Rocha, now running for fourth-ranked University of Notre Dame Notre Dame IPA: [nɔtʁ dam] is French for Our Lady, referring to the Virgin Mary. In the United States of America, Notre Dame , won last year.

Velasquez finished second to Rocha in last year's race.

--Three-peat: Quartz Hill junior Brienna Morris has competed in three Golden League finals - and she's won all three. She captured the title Nov. 2 with a time of 18:54 on the 3.1-mile course.
