CROSBY, STILLS AND NASH SCHEDULED TO PLAY ANTELOPE VALLEY FAIR.

Crosby, Stills and Nash, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is a museum in Cleveland, Ohio, United States, dedicated to recording the history of some of the best-known and most influential artists, producers, and other people who have in some major way influenced the music industry, particularly in  band whose members played at Woodstock, will open the 1997 Antelope Valley This article is about the Los Angeles County region. Fair officials announced Tuesday that Crosby, Stills and Nash joins a concert line-up that includes comedian Bill Cosby William Henry "Bill" Cosby, Jr., Ed.D. ``There has been on offer on the table for awhile,'' said fair spokeswoman Candace Harrison said of booking the group. ``We were waiting to see if the tour and dates would work out. We got lucky.''

Crosby, Stills and Nash will perform Aug. 22. Tickets are $25 for track seating and $20 for grandstand. The fair is paying the group $75,000.

Tickets for all the fair concerts go on sale July 12 at the fairgrounds n. pl. 1. same as fairground. .

Season tickets are available at $125 for all five paid concerts, or $54 for the arena events including the Rural Olympics, demolition derby, rodeo and circus.

Season orders must be postmarked by Monday or dropped off at the fairgrounds office by 5 p.m. the same day. Season-ticket order forms are available at the fairgrounds office and at the Lancaster and Palmdale chambers of commerce.

David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash had already been members of the Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, and the Hollies when they performed together with Neil Young at Woodstock, which launched their career as a group. Since then, they have sold more than 50 million albums.

The group's ``Deja Vu'' album was voted album of the year by Billboard magazine in 1970. The group's album ``So Far,'' released in 1974, sold more than 6 million copies.

The concert series continues with a performance by five-time Grammy Award winner Bill Cosby on Aug. 23. Tickets will be $25 for track seating and $20 for grandstand seating.

The series continues with Gran Tardeada, a Hispanic gala, Aug. 24. Tickets are $25 for track seating and $20 for grandstanding seating.

Jeff Foxworthy, who's noted for his ``you might be a redneck "...You Might be a Redneck" is the tagline for a long-running series of jokes about rednecks by comedian Jeff Foxworthy titled "The Redneck Test," supposing that people do not know if they are rednecks or not.  if . . .'' jokes, will perform Aug. 25. Tickets are $25 for track seating and $20 for grandstand seating.

On Aug. 26, Les Brown and His Band of Renown will perform. Admission is free.

The concert series will conclude Aug. 27, with performances by country acts Tracy Lawrence and Tracy Byrd.

Tickets for all of the paid concerts will include admission to the fair. The fair will also sell $10 tickets for bleacher bleach·er

The fair will spend $400,000 on the concert series this year.

After the concert series, entertainment in the grandstands will continue beginning with a three-ring circus Aug. 28 and 29. There will be shows at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. both nights. Tickets will be $4 for grandstand seating and $3 for bleacher seating.

The annual Rural Olympics and the demolition derby will be held Aug. 30. Tickets are $10 for grandstand seating and $8 for bleachers.

A rodeo will be held Aug. 31 and Sept. 1.

To improve viewing from the grandstands, the fair moved the stage in from 110 feet away to 70 feet away. Concert seating will go from about 10,000 seats to 9,000 seats as a result of the move.

The fair will also have two trolleys this year to take people from the north parking lot to the entrance.

The 1997 Antelope Valley Fair and Alfalfa alfalfa (ălfăl`fə) or lucern (lsûn`), perennial leguminous plant (Medicago sativa  will run from Aug. 22 to Sept. 1. This year's theme is ``The Days of Swine and Roses.''
