CROCKED GLOCK TO MISS BRAZIL.

TIMO GLOCK was ruled out of Sunday's Brazilian Grand Prix after tests revealed he cracked a vertebra vertebra /ver·te·bra/ (ver´te-brah) pl. ver´tebrae   [L.] any of the 33 bones of the vertebral (spinal) column, comprising 7 cervical, 12 thoracic, 5 lumbar, 5 sacral, and 4 coccygeal vertebrae .  when he crashed in Japan.

The Toyota driver was initially diagnosed with only a minor cut to his right leg following his accident in qualifying at Suzuka on October 4. Medical checks in Germany uncovered the other injury, meaning Glock will be sidelined for Interlagos and possibly the final race of the season in Abu Dhabi on November 1. Toyota's third driver, Kamui Kobayashi will replace Glock in Brazil, as he did in Friday practice in Japan when the German was unwell.

Team principal John Howett said: "Obviously everyone in the team is very disappointed and feels for Timo TIMO Timber Investment Management Organization

, and we wish him a very speedy recovery.

"Based on the initial diagnosis, we fully expected Timo to return in Brazil, but unfortunately a different injury has been revealed which prevents that. He will remain in Germany to recover and we hope he can recuperate re·cu·per·ate

in time for Abu Dhabi, although at this stage the situation is not clear.

"Kamui was the natural choice to step in, and he proved in Suzuka he is capable of holding his own.

"It's a difficult task for him, but he knows the team will give him its complete support and we know he is motivated."
