CRL Network Services Expands Management Team; John Blair, VP of Business Development, Rick Quosig, National Sales Director, Tracy Corrington, Director of Marketing.


SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 3, 1998--CRL Network Services, a national Internet Service Provider Internet service provider (ISP)

 and competitive local telecommunications company, today announced its new Business Development Department, to be headed by John Blair, as well as the appointments of Rick Quosig as National Sales Director, and Tracy Corrington as Director of Marketing/Public Relations. As Vice President of Business Development, Blair will seek out M&A opportunities for CRL, as well as identify strategic alliances and new revenue streams. Prior to joining CRL, Blair was president of Executive Strategies, a Bay Area management consulting company that developed strategic plans for hi-tech and Internet firms. In that post, Blair gained national exposure as communications industry expert. His prior experience includes executive positions with DG Systems, a Silicon Valley start-up he helped take public, and various management positions with financial institutions, including Citibank, Ameritrust and Crocker Bank. John is a graduate of the University of Akron Enrollment in fall 2006 was 23,539 students.[1] The school offers more than 200 undergraduate degrees [2] and 100 graduate degrees [3]. The University's best-known program is its College of Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering, which is located in a , Ohio.

Rick Quosig, National Sales Director, will more than double CRL's national sales organization. Quosig joins CRL from Frontier Communications as a General Manager of the company's flagship Silicon Valley office, where he staffed and managed the sales and support teams. Quosig's 12-year career in telecommunications includes management positions with NYNEX NYNEX New York-New England & X for the Unknown (Telephone Company)

Tracy Corrington, Director of Marketing, will direct CRL's marketing and public affairs campaigns, including new product development and CLEC (Competitive Local Exchange Carrier) An organization offering local telephone service that is not one of the traditional telephone companies. The Telecommunications Act of 1996 allowed competition to the incumbent telcos (ILECs), enabling new companies (CLECs)  (competitive local exchange carrier) carrier relations efforts. Corrington previously worked for Teleport Communications Group Teleport Communications Group (TCG) was the first Competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) in the U.S. First formed in 1985, it competed with the existing telephone companies to provide dial tone and related services in the largest U.S. markets. , where she held marketing and public relations public relations, activities and policies used to create public interest in a person, idea, product, institution, or business establishment. By its nature, public relations is devoted to serving particular interests by presenting them to the public in the most  management positions in TCG's Northern California and East Coast offices. Corrington also has worked as a reporter for several news organizations in Southern California and Washington, D.C. She is a graduate of Brown University.

CRL Network Services, one of the nation's oldest ISPs, provides high-speed Internet access and data networking solutions for businesses, ISPs and universities.
