Logline: Sam Elliott stars as a grizzled griz·zled  
adj.
1. Partly gray or streaked with gray: a grizzled beard.

2. Having fur or hair streaked or tipped with gray.
 but effective hit man who, after the murder of his daughter, guns for those who have otherwise eluded justice. When he pursues a Serbian war criminal (David Hayman) who murdered a wealthy man's son, he runs afoul of CIA CIA: see Central Intelligence Agency.


(1) (Confidentiality Integrity Authentication) The three important concerns with regards to information security. Encryption is used to provide confidentiality (privacy, secrecy).
 agents (James Cromwell, exuding casual if clichd menace, and Timothy Hutton, whose brand of intimidation is more subtle, even if his sunglasses aren't) using the Serb as part of a terrorist-sting operation.

Pros: Elliott's weather-beaten, deadpan demeanor is a perfect fit for such a role, in a story (based on a Frederick Forsyth book) efficiently and evocatively told by director Robert Markowitz ("The Tuskegee Airmen").

Cons: Not a terribly imaginative or remotely credible yarn, though. And the film takes a peculiarly Neanderthal approach when it comes to its female characters.

In a nutshell: Eminently watchable watch·a·ble  
adj.
1. Capable of being watched; viewable: watchable wildlife.

2. Good enough to watch: "The fastest modem ...
; eminently forgettable for·get·ta·ble  
adj.
Fit or apt to be forgotten: a movie with very forgettable characters.

unforgettable - impossible to forget
. It feels suspiciously like a pilot for a series that wasn't picked up.
