Pros: Watching Michael's fevered brain race to make the best of To improve to the utmost; to use or dispose of to the greatest advantage. To reduce to the least possible inconvenience; as, to make the best of ill fortune or a bad bargain. - Bacon. Virtually everyone has a similar bad work experience tucked away on their resume somewhere, so the empathy level is high, even as the show reaches dizzyingly wince-inducing heights. Krasinski is pleasantly amusing and Fischer makes Pam's disaffection palpable, while Wilson is the wild card here: Dwight is quite possibly a lunatic disguised as a stunningly petty button-down stooge stooge n. 1. Ricky Gervais, who created the series and starred as the buffoonish boss overseas, employed a lumpier, mellower approach to the same sort of overbearing qualities. In a nutshell: Despite NBC's dismal track record at comedy (and, particularly, adaptations of British sitcoms), this is a surprisingly effective reimagining of a bona fide [Latin, In good faith.] Honest; genuine; actual; authentic; acting without the intention of defrauding. A bona fide purchaser is one who purchases property for a valuable consideration that is inducement for entering into a contract and without suspicion of being comic treasure. Executive producer Greg Daniels (``King of the Hill,'' ``The Simpsons,'' ``Saturday Night Live'') gets what made the original a classic and adds some nice touches of his own. In future episodes, Michael's efforts to promote ``diversity'' go horribly, hilariously awry, and a comely come·ly adj. come·li·er, come·li·est 1. Pleasing and wholesome in appearance; attractive.
