Logline: A popular Hollywood conceit conceit, in literature, fanciful or unusual image in which apparently dissimilar things are shown to have a relationship. The Elizabethan poets were fond of Petrarchan conceits, which were conventional comparisons, imitated from the love songs of Petrarch, in which , as variously seen in ``Baby Boom,'' ''Three Men and a Baby'' and the WB's ``Summerland'': Charismatic, self-satisfied New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of
 attorney/womanizer (Taye Diggs) must reassess his priorities when he receives custody of his late cousin's infant.

Pros: Diggs is eminently watchable watch·a·ble  
adj.
1. Capable of being watched; viewable: watchable wildlife.

2. Good enough to watch: "The fastest modem ...
, nicely balancing assured bravado with more vulnerable moments with the baby. Were this on another network (and it's the rare UPN show good enough to be), it would make Diggs one of TV's biggest stars (and, likely, People magazine's sexiest man alive). As it is, he'll be plenty popular. The rest of his cast is fine as well, and the dialogue boasts snap.

Cons: It's familiar material, and a dubious plot twist has Kevin losing his job at his prestigious law firm because the baby proves such a distraction. That lands him in a small boutique firm of dedicated, serious women (run by Michael Michele, late of ``ER''), including one (Kate Levering Kate Levering (born January 1, 1979) is an American actress and dancer. She was born in Sacramento, California.

Levering attended El Camino Fundamental High School, where she took part in school musicals and dance classes before graduating in 1997 and leaving for New York
) whom - oops - Kev loved and left.

In a nutshell: Nicely polished comfort-food TV with a smart, contemporary sensibility.
