James Daniels, 19, was shot outside the Daland Swim School after deputies feared he would harm patrons with a sharp object he was carrying. Daniels already had cut his own arm. Officers used Mace and rubber bullets but failed to stop him. Boyd said he was shot after ``it became obvious that Daniels was not going to stop before reaching the school entrance.''
