CRICKET: The MCC (The Microelectronics and Computer Technology Corporation, Austin, TX) The first high-tech research and development consortium in the U.S., created in 1982 by leading companies within the electronics industry.  would consider selling the naming rights Naming rights are the right to name a piece of property, either tangible property or an event, usually granted in exchange for financial considerations. Institutions like schools, places of worship and hospitals have a tradition of granting donors the right to name facilities in  to Lord's, chief executive Keith Bradshaw has revealed.

The organisation revealed plans for a pounds 400 million redevelopment of the stadium, entitled Vision for Lord's, which include an underground cricket academy and expanded museum. While part of the development will be funded by flats around the periphery of the stadium, the MCC are also looking into sponsorship and possibly even selling naming rights.

Bradshaw said: "That is obviously an option but you reach a point at which you do not want to sell your soul."
