Mark Lewis, also of Princethorpe College, weighed in with 39.

Coventry destroyed Pembroke, reaching 233-7 in their 40 overs - skipper Scott Gillies (Coundon Court) making 33, Robert Jones (Cardinal Newman) 36, Ray Waite (Finham Park) 31 and Ben Fleming (King Henry VIII) 44 - and then dismissing the hosts for just 56 with Daniel Brookes (Coundon Court) taking 2-10, Andy Funnell (Finham Park) 2-11 and Nathan Watts (Woodlands) 2-10.

Richard Swaffield (Woodlands) notched 64 and Fleming 48 not out as Coventry overhauled South West Wales' 202 (Funnell 3-20) for the loss of six wickets.

Then Watts led the way with 31 and Gordon Townsend (Finham Park) made 22 in the three-wicket defeat of Llanelli who made 181, Gillies returning a superb 2-16 off eight overs bowled in temperatures of 90 degrees.
