CRICKET: Last men in seal unlikely Bay win.

LIVERPOOL COMPA COMPA Convergence of Organizations and Movements of Peoples of the Americas  HEART-STOPPINGfinish saw Colwyn Bay's last pair put on 26 runs to triumph in their First Division clash at Worsley.

Winning the toss and gambling on inserting the home side,Colwyn skipper Sion Morris saw former Welsh international all-rounder Paul Jenkins There are many people named Paul Jenkins:

The village is largely residential in character. The village has two pubs, and is near the A55 road. ``To say it was close is hardly the word,'' said relievedMorris. ``The last pair did a great job.''

Northop Hall missed out at Huyton where they were chasing 223-6 after losing the toss in their League Cup round-robin.

New Zealander Keith Murphy (80)led the Huyton assault,new Pakistani ace Tariq Mushtaq enjoying an impressive debut with 3-20 off sevenovers.

It became clear Hall weren't going to overtake the target,but Darren McCann (34), skipper Karl Evans (35no)and Arshad Khan (21no)all contributed to the respectable 160-6 that left Worsley winners in a 2-0 outcome.

The Hall Seconds went down at home to Caldy, scoring 132 all out (JamieGriffiths 58,Andy Cree 29)in reply to Caldy's 206-3 (Ahmed126no)in a 24-2 points split.

But new Hall Thirds skipper Paul Hannay smashed 130 off 16 overs in his first appearance taking the Hall to 239-7 against Caldy Thirds. Caldy were bowled out for 120,in a 24-4 win for the Hall.
