CRICKET: Hogg is the hero as Warwicks charge into semi.

COUNTY coach John Inverarity Robert John Inverarity (born January 31 1944, Subiaco, Perth, Western Australia) is a former Test and first-class cricketer. A right-handed batsman and left-arm orthodox spin bowler in his playing career, Inverarity was also one of the enduring captains in the Australian Sheffield  hailed fellow Australian Brad Hogg For the baseball player, see .

George Bradley Hogg (born February 6, 1971 in Narrogin, Western Australia), known as Brad Hogg, is an Australian cricketer. He is primarily a left arm chinaman bowler, although he is a handy left-handed batsman as well and is an

Inverarity elevated the all-rounder into the Bears' top six and watched as an unbeaten 94, from only 61 deliveries, helped post an unassailable 343-4 to book a clash with Worcestershire a month today.

"I walked past Lord's 10 years ago and thought I would never play there so it would be great to reach the final and win it there too," said Hogg, who put on a record 159 unbroken runs for the fifth wicket with Jonathan Trott.

"I love the opportunity to bat higher up the order, it is up to us in the middle to maintain the tempo and with wickets in hand we could really throw the bat at it .

"Things have turned out really well here and I am enjoying the fact I can devote myself to a full season."

Hogg built on the early assault of Neil Carter who struck 28 runs off one Steffan Jones over, a new record in this competition.
